Did you know that you could boost your uplift in sales via your Tradespace page even further without too much hassle? And it doesn't take 'techie' knowledge to do it. Tradespace is all about becoming more visible to both your potential customers and your peers (and even your competitors!). It's the easy antidote to 'out of sight is out of mind'.
To ensure that you're getting the maximum hits on your page, make sure you've filled in the keyword box on your site thoroughly. You have 125 characters to use - don't waste any of them! To do this you may need to think laterally and make sure that every word is relevant. You can do it by imagining what your customer might search on to find services like yours. For example, if you're a garden design company in Tring, it's likely that the customer will have searched on the words 'garden', 'design' and 'Tring'. But what if they'd entered 'Hertfordshire' instead of 'Tring'? Or if they'd put in 'pruning' 'gardeners' and 'Aylesbury'? You might well miss out on sales
This is a good time to think what sets you apart from other business: what is your USP? Are you just a garden designer based in Tring or are you an award-winning decking specialist and trained horticulturist too? And what about all those words related to your business - weeding, plants, planting, growing, gardeners, gardening? Think long and hard about which words do your business justice. Remember to look back at your keywords on a regular basis and update them as necessary.
So once someone finds your Tradespace site, what can you do to keep them coming back? And how do you make sure your business comes high up the Tradespace list? One way is to become a Featured Trader. You will be singled out for this on the basis of the amount of business and activity you are doing on Tradespace. So the more content, photos, blog entries and videos you can populate your site with, and the more traffic you have visiting your site, the higher up the search listings it will move.
Link up with other companies on Tradespace by selecting them as 'Businesses We Like' and hopefully they will return the favour - you can do this on the basis of having done business with them or just because you like the look of what they're doing and feel it would be a positive move for you to be associated with them. Blog your news, views and any developments as often as you can, and don't forget to supplement this with photos, videos and podcasts. All of this adds real flavour to your page and helps others discover the people behind the name.
In these days of word-of-mouth marketing, a personal face and friendly attitude can get you as far as an expensive ad campaign. Just keep it professional and efficient (check your page every day) and your attitude will speak volumes about your approach to business and why your company is set to grow and grow.
